Receiving the government’s approval of establishment from Dec 2011, An Bien Church was not able to have a worship service because they only had an empty ground.
OCT 24, 2012 IS AN IMPORTANT DATE IN THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH. BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORT OF THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF MISSION VIETNAM VIA THE CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE, AN BIEN CHURCH HELD THE GROUND- BREAKING CEREMONY TO START MAKING THE CHURCH-BUILDING, WITH A HOPE THAT THEY WILL WORSHIP GOD IN THE NEW SANCTUARY ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW YEAR 2013.
WE PRAISE THE LORD OUR GOD BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN TO HIS CHILDREN IN THIS CHURCH BEYOND WHAT THEY HAVE PRAYED AND IMAGINED.
ON JAN 1, 2013, THEY COULD JOYFULLY WORSHIPPED GOD IN THE NEW SPACIOUS AND VERY BEAUTIFUL CHURCH, WITH ABOUT 100 BELIEVERS. ALTHOUGH THE SANCTUARY IS NOT COMPLETED 100%, THE JOY OF GOD’S CHILDREN IN THIS CHURCH IS GREAT, ESPECIALLY THE ELDERS WHO FROM NOW ON DO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL A LONG WAY TO COME TO MINH LUONG CHURCH OR CU LA CHURCH. THIS IS A LONG-TIME DREAM OF THE ELDERS AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH.
The constructional budget that they have been supported is just enough to make the church building; so God’s children have contributed to make
the fence and other things for the church. However, An Bien Church still has some parts that need to finish: the preacher’s pulpit, the worship- leader’s pulpit, benches, cement for the 2 corridors of the 2 sides, Christian Education building, the pastor’s residence, etc.
Because the church has just been established for 2 years, most of them are new believers and face difficulties in keeping a regular attendance; so it is a problem of this church.
Even though the construction has just completed, during the time of the construction, they still carry on the evangelistic programs. So, without the benches and pulpit, they have baptized 13 new believers who had finished the basic doctrines class on Sunday Feb 24, 2013.
